The surging Chicago White Sox will be looking for their eighth-straight win when they host the Atlanta Braves for the second tilt of a three-game set Wednesday at U.S. Cellular Field (8:10 pm ET, FOX).

The Braves are a -120 moneyline favorite and the over/under total for the game is 8.5 in MLB Odds at betED.com.

The White Sox moved to a game over the .500 mark with a 9-6 win against the Braves in the opener of the series on Tuesday. Chicago won as a pick’em and the score went over the total of 8.

This is the first time the Braves and White Sox have met since 2004, when Chicago won a three-game set 2-1.

There is an over trend, as the total has gone over in four of the past five meetings, and in 11 of Atlanta’s past 15 games on the road.

Atlanta had won five straight heading into Tuesday’s tilt, and is now is 5-1 SU in its last six games. Chicago is 4-1 in its past five at home.

The Braves will start righthander Tim Hudson, who is 7-2 with a 2.34 ERA this season. The White Sox will counter with lefty Mark Buehrle, who is 5-6 with a 4.71 ERA.
