The Los Angeles Dodgers visit the New York Mets for the start of a three-game set Tuesday (7:10 pm ET, SNY).
The matchup marks the first trip to NYC for slugger Manny Ramirez since he was traded to the Dodgers last season.
betED.com has the latest lines for this tilt in MLB Betting Odds.
Ramirez was with the Boston Red Sox from 2001 to 2008 and took part in many battles against the Red Sox arch rival, the New York Yankees.
Ramirez has just returned from a 50-game suspension for drug violations.
The Dodgers will start lefty Clayton Kershaw, who is 5-5 with a 3.49 ERA this season. The Mets will counter with righthander Michael Pelfrey, who’s 6-3 with a 4.26 ERA.
In his last start, Kershaw allowed no runs in five innings pitched in a 1-0 win against the Colorado Rockies on July 1. Pelfrey nearly went the distance, pitching 7 2/3 innings, in a July 1 win against the Milwaukee Brewers, also a 1-0 shutout.
Los Angeles is coming of a 2-1 series win over the division-rival San Diego Padres on the weekend. The Dodgers won the rubber match 7-6 on Sunday.
New York has lost three straight, getting swept by NL East rival Philadelphia Phillies in a three-game set on the weekend. The Mets were shutout 2-0 in the final matchup Sunday.
