Actor Jason Alexander, most famous for his role as George Costanza in the hit sitcom Seinfeld, will host a Texas hold ‘em poker tournament on May 9 at the Hollywood Park Casino.

Joining Alexander is former World Series of Poker main event champion Greg Raymer, as well as fellow poker pros Jamie Gold and Chip Jett, and state director of the Poker Players Alliance Dianna Donofrio-Trigatzi.

There will be a lot at stake, but it’s all going to charity. All proceeds are going to the 1736 Family Crisis Center, Los Angeles’ largest domestic violence agency.

Fans are welcome to attend the event as celebrities and poker stars collide to compete for cash, and a $5,000 eco-friendly poker table. Poker star Annie Duke, who can be seen now on Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice,” donated a WSOP Boot Camp Package as well.

At the 2004 WSOP, Raymer defeated David Williams to win the $5,000,000 first prize in the $10,000 no-limit Texas hold’em WSOP main event. Raymer received the entry fee to the tournament by winning a $160 satellite event on PokerStars, just like the 2003 WSOP winner, Chris Moneymaker.

Raymer is now a representative for PokerStars.

As of 2008, his total live tournament winnings was more than $6 million, with almost all of that – more than $5.7 million – coming from a total of 12 cashes at the WSOP.

Gold is best known for winning the 2006 WSOP main event. He returned to defend his title at the 2007 WSOP, but was eliminated on the first day.

He makes frequent appearances on poker TV shows including episodes of NBC’s Poker After Dark and GSN’s High Stakes Poker.

Jett finished 2nd in the World Poker Tour PartyPoker Million II cruise event in 2003, and later that year made two WSOP final tables. As of 2008, his total live tournament winnings exceed $2,000,000.
