Annie Duke, Joan Rivers set to clash on Celebrity Apprentice finale

Talk about must-see TV.

That’s what this coming Sunday’s grand finale of Celebrity Apprentice is shaping up to be, as World Series of Poker champ Annie Duke will go head-to-head against acerbic comedian, and arch-enemy, Joan Rivers.

Duke and Rivers will be assigned a task during the three-hour, live final episode of the popular reality show (8 pm ET, NBC), and the winner will be named Celebrity Apprentice by Donald Trump.

The two have been battling for several weeks, trading verbal barbs that have gotten increasingly vicious and personal in recent episodes, especially from Rivers.

Last week, Rivers and her daughter, producer Melissa Rivers, attacked both Duke and poker players in general. Joan Rivers said Duke’s poker winnings is “blood money” and called her “a piece of ****.”

She has also referred to Duke as a “Nazi” although on Sunday, she said that was wrong because Duke doesn’t have a moustache and she should have instead called her Eva Braun, Hitler’s wife.

The younger Rivers was fired by Trump at the end of last week’s episode. She then stormed off, joined by her mother, and the two launched into a verbal attack on Duke and teammate, Playboy Playmate of the Year Brande Roderick.

At the beginning of the most recent episode Sunday, Rivers returned, and Duke said: “I wasn’t surprised Joan came back. Joan is completely full of **** in everything she does. There’s a reason she got fired by the TV Guide Channel: She’s a bitch.”

The task Sunday challenged the teams to create a jingle and 30 second commercial for Chicken of the Sea tuna.

Team Athena, which consisted of Duke and Roderick, found itself up against Grammy Award winning musician Clint Black, who was teamed with Rivers and West Coast Choppers CEO Jesse James.

Duke and Roderick won, largely because Black’s country tune for the product was deemed too limited for mass appeal.

Black, and later, Roderick and James, were subsequently fired.
