There will be two contestants eliminated from American Idol this week, narrowing the field to five and giving entertainment prop bettors less options from which to choose.

Last week, Simon Cowell and his fellow American Idol judges exercised their one-time-only veto power to save contestant Matt Giraud from elimination.

That means the judges will need to eliminate two contestants as there are just five weeks left until a new Idol is crowned.

Despite his reprieve, Giraud remains one of the longest longshots on the hit reality show, as he is at +3500 odds to win the talent competition in entertainment betting odds at betED.com.

Adam Lambert remains the favorite at -280, followed by Danny Gokey at +200 and Allison Iraheta at +600.

This week’s theme on the show is disco.

Lambert is expected to sing Alicia Bridges classic “I Love the Nightlife” while Gokey will likely cover the Trammps’ “Disco Inferno.”

Iraheta is expected to sing Donna Summer’s “Bad Girls.”
